To celebrate Australia Day, we're pleased to announce the release of version 2.0 of the Fontis Australia Extension for Magento. This is a major update to the extension, and includes new functionality to support the flexible generation of data feeds for three comparison shopping sites (Getprice, MyShopping and ShopBot) for member merchants.
Magento Connect 2.0 developer survey
The Magento Connect system is a vital part of the Magento ecosystem and has had a lot of success since it launched a bit more than a year ago. As always, there is room for improvement and hence we were very glad to see Varien provide the community with an opportunity to participate in the future direction of the system by running two surveys, one for extension users, and one for extension developers. At the time of writing, we have fourteen community extensions and one commercial application listed on Connect, and the evolution of this service is something we have quite a few thoughts on. We completed the survey and thought we'd share our ideas on how 2.0 can take Connect to even greater heights. Read on for our suggestions from a developer perspective.
reCAPTCHA Extension Released
We are pleased to announce the release of our latest Magento extension, Fontis reCAPTCHA, which adds in CAPTCHA elements to the "Send to a Friend", "Contact Us" and customer registration forms, increasing the difficulty for spammers to misuse your forms and send UCE.
WYSIWYG 7th "Most Downloaded"
Our WYSIWYG Editor extension is now the 7th most downloaded extension on Magento Connect! With over 9000 downloads and counting, it's great to see how many members of the Magento community have found the extension useful.
